Initial Inquiry
After contacting us for the first time, our team evaluates your project and returns your call or email. Due to overwhelming demand, we cannot accommodate every request we receive. We carefully assess every enquiry and advise if our company can take on your project or if we have to decline due to scope, budget or location.
Payment Required
Initial Site Visit
If we are a good fit, a meeting is scheduled to visit your property, discuss your goals and set a budget. Design fees typically amount to 2-4% of the total project cost. Your project design fee is calculated during this meeting. A $300 consultation fee is required for this visit but is deducted from the cost of the design should the client wish to proceed with one.
Payment Required
Design Phase
Once a design contract has been signed, the design phase begins.
Site Survey and Base Plan — Ian and a member of our design team will visit your property to start the design phase. We take photographs, detailed measurements, grades, house elevations and do a general assessment of the integrity of the existing landscape. A scaled base plan is prepared to show the complete site information accurately.
Property Research — Our team researches the project site to gather information regarding by-laws, zoning, lot coverage, offsets, conservation etc. The finding determine what can be done on your property and assists with the design discussions.
Wish List — We ask that our clients compile a wish list of various elements they would like to see in their landscape. We then carefully review this list to ensure that all your wants and needs are incorporated into the landscape design. We will also guide you through the price ranges of individual elements to ensure the design will meet your budget.
2D Concept Presentation — We present a 2D concept along with the estimated build cost. During this meeting we want to hear your thoughts about the concept and any changes you may wish to make.
3D Renderings — Seeing is believing. Your approved drawings are turned into an immersive digital 3D model that paints a clear picture of what your landscape will look like once it’s completed. An additional fee is required for a 3D rendering above the initial 2D concept cost.
Scope of Work and Final Estimate — When you are ready to approve the designs, Ian prepares an itemized final construction estimate with detailed scope of work.
Payment Required
